Another thing that many ask us is how can we use you spices to make a quick meal go from good to great while at the same time satisfying the whole families taste palette? Again the answer is a little bit of this. A little bit of that.
We realized that we should look at what people are already cooking on a daily basis and see if our spice can make that dish better, in the most easiest of ways.
And voila - let us present a new spice blend series - the ONE POT WONDER. Spice blends created to elevate those everyday dishes with simple directions and usage. One little bag of flavorful magic. Add it to a pot and wonder will fill your belly.
First out we have:
Ragú - A blend to elevate your family bolognese, ”köttfärssås”, lasagne or ragú.
There are two main reasons this blend turned out so cot damn well. First of the amazing, deep, flavorful tomato powder from sun dried tomatoes of the Aegean coast in Turkey. The minute that we tried this spice we knew we had found something special. Something highly useful for the kind of cooking that we do. And our minds directly went to minced meat sauce, which we will from now on call ”Köttfärssås”, the Swedish name for it, as it just sound better in our ears.
Applying this to köttfärssås is a game changer. The way it adds an instant umami body is just incredible. A flavor that makes the köttfärssås feels as if it has been simmering on the stove for hours.

The second spice is Zather. Oh you wonderful Zather! Starting out with top notes of oregano then melding into a wild thyme symphony as you finish off with a lingering flavor of rosemary? Or olive oil? Can’t really tell. Just blessed to have met you and begun our cooking journey together. This herb is highly versatile as it encompasses many herbal flavors and tones at once.
These two ingredients are the foundation of the Ragú One Pot Wonder. They are accompanied by black pepper, paprika, rosemary, salt, coriander seeds, nutmeg, fennel seeds and bay leaf. No time for fillers like onions, garlic, too much salt or chemical nonsense. Just pure old flavorful flavors.
Packed in a small bag of 16 g, it will be enough flavor for 1 kg of minced meat or meat for ragu. So you can feed a family plus have left overs.
Below is a recipe of a quick family pasta when you just want things to work and go quickly.
Meat pasta/ Köttfärsås (15-20 min)
This is for when you have been out with your kids a bit too long, come home, look into your fridge and wonder what the heck you are going to make as you notice the energy of your kids changing and tensions rising…
Ingredients:
- 1 Ragù One Pot Wonder
- 1 kg minced beef
- Pasta of choice
- A big spoon of tomato puree
- Half chopped onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- Dash of cream
- Blob of butter
- Dash of pasta water
- Coating of parmesan
Options for some umami depth (add around step 8-9):
- Sprinkle of fish sauce
- Sprinkle of soy
- Sprinkle of dried mushrooms
Cooking:
- Water in pot for pasta.
- Heat a pan. Pour in some olive oil.
- Mince onions and garlic fine.
- Put pasta in boiling water
- Add onions. Add garlic. Let it fry 1-2 minutes. Medium temp.
- Add tomato puree. Let it fry a bit as you stir.
- Heat to low. Add the Ragu One Pot Wonder mix. Stir 1 min.
- Heat to medium high. Add minced meat. Chop it up a bit.
- Medium heat. Let it simmer for 3-4 minuted and chop at it sometimes.
- Add butter and some cream, Let it simmer 1 minute.
- Add al dente pasta to the pan with the meat. Stir. Mix. Immerse.
- Add grated parmesan. Add some pasta water. Toss around.
Enjoy with extra sprinkles of parmesan and black pepper!
