      Gansu Red Sichuan Pepper: Sourced from the Wudu region of Gansu, this large, bright red flower pepper offers a warm, earthy, and flowery flavor with tones of lavender.

      Why It's Included: We added this Sichuan Pepper because of its warmth and classic sichuan pepper flavor. It is a favorite in China.

      JingYang Green Sichuan Pepper: Harvested from the county of Jinyang in southern Sichuan, this green Sichuan pepper is renowned for its balanced yet potent profile, featuring a slight bitter initial punch followed by a lingering citrus and soft herbal sensation.

      MaLa: A celebration of Sichuanese flavoring, this blend combines the spiciness of a mix of five different Chinese chilies, the citrusy electric QingXi Tribute Sichuan Pepper, and a background symphony of five-spice elements and bay leaf.

      Why It's Included: It is such a simple, quick and delicious way to get the flavors of Sichuan all in one pinch. Very versatile and forgiving to cook with.

      5Spice Blend: Our own take on the classic Chinese Five-Spice, featuring a harmonious mix of star anise, cloves, Chinese cinnamon, Sichuan pepper and fennel seeds, offering a balance of sweet, bitter, sour, salty, and umami flavors.

      Why It's Included: It's a fundamental seasoning in Chinese and Sichuanese cuisine, adding depth and complexity to a variety of dishes.

      Star Anise: With its sweet, licorice-like flavor, star anise is a key ingredient in many Chinese dishes, imparting a warm and aromatic essence.

      Why It's Included: It's essential for braising meats and creating rich, flavorful broths in Sichuan cuisine. It really is a must.

      Facing Heaven Powder: Made from the renowned Facing Heaven chilies, this powder offers a moderate heat level with a slightly tomato and acidic undertone, characteristic of Sichuan's bold flavors.
      Why It's Included: It's a staple in Sichuan cooking, providing one of the spicy components in the "málà" flavor profile.

      Gansu Red Sichuan Pepper: Perfect for hearty Sichuan dishes like Mapo Dofu or twice-cooked pork, adding a unique depth and flavor. Add to chili broths, stir fries, kung pao chicken, chili oils.

      JingYang Green Sichuan Pepper: Ideal for dishes where you want the green Sichuan pepper to take center stage, such as beef broths, acidic hot pots, and stir-fried vegetables. Love it with bamboo shoots and other root vegetable. Stir fry with minced pork and chopped celery. Also a wonderful background figure by infusing into oils with spring onion and ginger.

      MaLa Blend: Perfect for creating tasty Sichuanese dishes such as Mapo Dofu, street-style tofu, green beans, minced pork, fish, dumplings and dan dan noodles. Nice as the main spice in smashed cucumber.

      5Spice Blend: A must in Char siu, Peking duck and red braised pork. Marinates well with pork, chicken, duck, beef and tofu. Season roasted vegetables. Marinate before La Zi Ji.

      Star Anise: Add whole star anise to slow-cooked stews, braised pork belly, or homemade stocks to infuse them with its distinctive aroma. Add to chili oils, pickles and broths.

      Facing Heaven Chili Powder: A perfect chili for many of your Sichuanese dishes. Sprinkle Facing Heaven chili powder into stir-fries, soups, or use it to make chili oil for drizzling over dumplings and noodles.
