All four come from Vietnam, sourced directly from small-scale farmers who treat their craft with the same respect you bring to your kitchen.

What's inside:

Vinh Linh Black Pepper — 40g
A hidden gem from one of Vietnam's most storied pepper regions. Smaller corns, intense flavour and explosive heat. Cultivated for over 300 years, once reserved for royalty. Grind it fresh over everything.
Use for: finishing dishes, pasta, grilled meats, eggs, cheese.

Quảng Nam Cinnamon — 25g
Sourced at 1,500m altitude in the highlands of central Vietnam. The bark takes 10 years to mature before harvest and you can taste it. Deeper, richer and more complex than anything you've had before.
Use for: porridge, baking, coffee, tagines, warm drinks, roasted root vegetables.

Phu Quoc Pepper Salt — 40g
The Pham family's signature blend from the island of Phu Quoc: black pepper, toasted sand-grown garlic and Vietnamese coarse sea salt. Simple, versatile and deeply umami.
Use for: finishing grilled fish, seafood, fried eggs, avocado, roasted vegetables, dipping sauces.

Phu Quoc Chili Salt — 36g
The Pham family's other masterpiece. Toasted homegrown chili, sand-grown garlic and sea salt — all slightly fermented and sun-dried. A little heat, a lot of character.
Use for: stir-fries, grilled chicken, noodles, dipping, anything that needs a salty kick with depth.

All four products in The Starting Four share one thing: they come from farmers who refused to compromise. Vietnam is one of the world's great spice nations — but most of what leaves it is blended, anonymised and stripped of character. These aren't.

The Vinh Linh pepper has been cultivated for over 300 years in the red soils of central Vietnam, once treasured by the Nguyễn royal dynasty. The Quảng Nam cinnamon grows at 1,500 metres altitude, where the bark takes a full decade to reach its peak. And on the island of Phu Quoc, the Pham family has spent generations perfecting their two signature blends — using sand-grown garlic, sun-dried chili and coarse sea salt from the Vietnamese coast.
This is what single origin means: a name, a place, a story you can taste.

Vinh Linh Black Pepper — grind generously over pasta, eggs, grilled meats or a good piece of cheese. Try it on strawberries with a little cream. Seriously.

Quảng Nam Cinnamon — stir into porridge, coffee or warm milk. Add to tagines, roasted carrots or sweet potato. Use wherever you'd normally reach for cinnamon — and prepare to never go back.

Phu Quoc Pepper Salt — your new finishing salt. Sprinkle over fried eggs, avocado, grilled fish or roasted vegetables straight out of the oven. Mix into butter.

Phu Quoc Chili Salt — shake over stir-fries, noodles, grilled chicken or anything that needs a salty, umami kick. Also exceptional on popcorn.
